Robby Holmes
yeah, i was doing a 40.7 on music, but that was in a blazer, ittd be much louder out of a trunk. thats about the numbers im looking for idealy, i'd LOVE to do 150+ out of a single sub trunk build. but, that costs money, time, energy and more patience than i have at the moment xP thats kind of the situation im in now after i was being dumb and blew up my xxx but ive just been so antsy these last few months being able to only watch others do their sweet builds Hell yeah, I understand. I've had my 18" for two months now and it's just sitting there lol. But it'll be more worth it if you got EXACTLY what you wanted (which is usually the hard part) well i also need to be realistic haha i WANT to have a 15" DC Neo, but i cant justify spending ~2,000 on just a sub so like i said im looking at XL m1 or m2 or possibly a level 5 (6 if i can find one for like 500) Edited May 30, 2012 by Robby Holmes Quote '08 Chevy Cobalt coupe 2.2 base model trunk build: 2 9512iSC flatwound alum 1.5 coils -extra 9500 spider pack -8" platinum carbon dustcaps 1 DD Z1 (.375ohm nominally daily) 3g31 AGM 320a Ohio Gen alt 1 DD S4 4 channel 4 VO-M8v1's (holes cut for 3rd pair) 2 CS 6.5's 2 VO-B1's Sony XAV-601BT all Knu Krystal RCA's Cadence 7band EQ ______________________ 148.3db @ 32hz (burp) 148.4 @ 37 & 38hz (burp) 146.xdb 90sec average (center windshield)

SnowDrifter
i got $200-$250 and i want to start looking at other high quality brands (as i have gotten a lot of shit for "being on RE audio and DC audio's dick" -.- zzzz) what are some good quality woofers in this price range? im wanting to put 1500-2500wrms to a single 15" thats a d2 going in a 4cube box tuned to 32Hz for a trunk build For that, an AQ HDC3 would do nicely Quote ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

nik12937
Fi Audio makes some nice subs for a good price, handmade too. Their customer support hasn't been as great recently due to a team member leaving, but I'm sure they'll be back full strength soon enough, their woofers can take some abuse too if you want loud. Quote A kid I know says he's running 3000 watts to an MTX sub. I kept my expectations low since most people think MAX is what the amp produces. Look in his car, amplifier is not only a BOSS, but says 3000 watts max, 500 watts rms... WHAT?!
