soundstream15
my friend set my amp with a dd-1 but he set it on -5 instead of 0. what is the reason for the -5?
liljestrand
Most use the -5 track because most music will be -3 to -7. So its usually a safe spot. IndianaBassHead
In the manual it states to use -5, -10, or even -15 to set the gains. so that is fine that he used -5. I used the -10 db track to tune my system. soundstream15
so with doing -5 does that mean it can be turned up abit more and i wont clip? sorry if its a dumb question the whole dd-1 is new to me
IndianaBassHead
in the manual it says play track 3(-5) for sound quality and a little less bass, track 7(-15) for the loudest spl, and track 5(-10) for a happy medium. I tune to track 5 just to be safe. Guest
you're supposed to have it on +15 when setting the gains. i assume you have a kenwood cause i know they skip numbers on the sub level.
