Chris Hammer Posted June 1, 2012 Report Posted June 1, 2012 I wouldn't. Use bolt/washer/nut instead. If you are using 8 gauge speaker wire it is probably too much current for a terminal cup. At least the ones I've seen. I melted a radioshack cup on 1100-1000 watts before... Or drill a hole run the wires and seal it off- least resistence but difference is incredibly small.
