Ray
Edited. So, some people think the car would have just burst into flames from the trunk if the system was not in the car? Must be alot of chargers doing that as of late....... Maybe it was one of those florida zombies.. Maybe obama did it. Or maybe dude had some janky ass wiring and it shorted. 2008 California state record holder 157.2 Bassrace2009 California state record holder 157.0 BassraceRollin 50's 158.7db2009 King of Cali Bassrace2009 USACi score 160.5 @ 42hz

sprkn_ranger
Yea weather the stock battery is in the trunk or under the hood, an unfused wire is still a fire hazard. And people tell me it's a waste of money to fuse their big 3 when I recomend it. I know it's not nessecary, but a $5 fuse is pretty cheap insurance just in case. OrionStang
It was fused, but he also said he installed it himself before he knew anything about car audio. Probably no way to find the initial issue in all that damage, unless he knows a fire/arson investigator. If he did i missed that. I believe so...I'll go back and check for sure. But regardless, any positive wire should be fused as close to the battery weather the battery is a few feet from the amp or not. That's what my post was really getting at. Anyways, its still important to properly fuse so this kinda thing doesn't happen. OrionStang
I stand corrected, there is no mention of whether it was fused or not, I must have been thinking of a different post. OP, did you use fuses? LOL SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
