varietyguy
What car. Basics: Connect positive wire from stock battery to positive of secondary battery, ground secondary battery to chassis. Fuse both ends. Quote 1992 Mazda 323 http://www.stevemead...323-wall-build/
sprkn_ranger
Put the battery wherever your gonna put it, the run a 1/0 wire from + on front battery to + on secondary battery and then either run another 1/0 wire for the negative or just ground it to the chassis. On the positive wire, fuse each end of the wire as close to the battery's as possible. varietyguy
You want to fuse both batteries in case of a short. This will prevent any electrical fires. Quote 1992 Mazda 323 http://www.stevemead...323-wall-build/
sprkn_ranger
Like this: Batt----fuse-------------------fuse----batt And get the fuses as close to the battery's as possible so you have the least amount of unprotected wire as possible to short out on something and catch on fire. And make sure you fuse to the wire's rating. So if your wire is rated at 300A use a fuse no larger than 300A.
