mtx9515
Good evening all, I'm suppose to do a simple install on a 2012 honda civic ex l tomorrow. Is there any websites where I can find more info on the car? Info that would make the removal of the dash easier?
Maebros
i have an 11 lX and they are fairly similar. you have to take the driver kick panel off to take the dash panel off to take the factory H/U off. its kind of irritating but it not too terribly difficult. its only a hand full of screws most of it is just clipped in. hot sure if the same applies to the ex but the first time i removed the factory radio there was a screw behind the little tray underneath the radio. i dont know of any websites out there that will show you yhow to do it.(though i imagine there is) but if you are really worried about it i know you can buy mastersheet instructions from crutchfield for like $10 that will give you step by step instructions on how to do it. diatribe
I've found dash removal on Honda parts sites before. Here is a dash removal walk-through found on another forum. http://www.9thgencivic.com/forum/how-tos-diy-section/1600-diy-stereo-install-w-pics.html
