Dang man that some serious midbass. I know you can fit them in your doors man you'll find a way.

Ken, those Assassin's can't take a larger bandwidth than that? What do you plan on crossing everything over at?(subs, midbass, mids, highs etc).

I'm sure they can go a little higher, but no need with the Hertz XL's taking over above 100hz. I don't want them playing under 55ish, because the judges may consider them subwoofers and bump me to SS3-4.

X'over points:

Subwoofer- ss 28hz, lpf 56hz

Midbass- hpf 56hz, lpf 100hz

Mids and tweets- Passive crossovers, but hpf at 100 on the amp.

They aren't subs, midbass LOL.

Excuse me then, thought you were ditching your current setup for the kickers. lmao

Haha

Very interesting! Let me know how you like it. I plan on something very similar but was thinking more like this:

Subs: 20-80Hz

Midbass: 50-180'sHz

Mids: 70-3kHz

Tweets 2,750KHz and up

I may have a little too much blending going on in the 70-80Hz range but it's something I'll have to play around with.

Started playing with placement ideas for the 10's. They are just a little too big to fit the lower door, plus I can already imagine how many times they will get kicked.

So, they will probably go here, there will be a solid floor there of course.
