While I doubt anything I do will be seen by an automaker engineer, We can look back over the years on how our hobby as a whole has changed how car makers build with technology. It was just a few years ago when TV screens were just for us crazy hobby guys, now they come standard in a good number of cars. Designing, building, and shipping boxes. Space is limited so I need shallows. 1998 Pontiac grand prix gtp supercharged2 12" Obsidain Audio V.1 on a 2011 zx1500.1 at 2 ohms. 20ft of Knuconceptz CCA 0 Guage. 2nd Battery is a Shurken BT-120. Box is 3.5cu tuned at 31.8hz sealed off from the trunk. 14sqft of Dynamat on the Rear deck top & bottom. Soon to be more for doors/roof. Space is limited so I need shallows. All depends on how much you want the to recess and where the window stuff is. I have DC 8's in the doors of my 250 and it was very difficult to get them to recess enough to not look bad. The RF 8's were a little shallower and i was able to get them in tighter.
