Ben5 Posted June 17, 2012 Report Posted June 17, 2012 I am thinking of doubling up my 6.5 components in my front doors, I am unsure on something though. When using 2 sets of components, do you have to use all four of the crossovers? Can you run 2 mids and 2 tweeters wired to just one of the crossovers? How does this effect the impedance? bassface Posted June 17, 2012 Report Posted June 17, 2012 Yes it will "work" but it wont sound as good as it would as if you had separate xovers per set of components. The xovers are designed by many parameters; one being impedance. When that changes, the components of the xover should also change. Quote
