Tim Lam
i am stuck as to which of these i want? i am going for 2 12" subs. i only have a Alpine MRP-M1000. the new generation DC lvl 2 are 600rms a piece, whereas the new lvl 3's are 900rms a piece. i know this may sound simple, "obviously choose the level 2 because you'd be underpowering the level 3's" but ive seen videos of level 3's flexing only on 1k rms. so to get to the nitty gritty, should i get 2 12" Level2's or Level3's? (or possibly stick with my 2 Type R's?)
RooTxBeeR
Go with the Lvl 3's so you can upgrade later on. vettedude102
Go with the Lvl 3's so you can upgrade later on. Agreed that way you can eventually get a bigger amp to power the lvl 3's better. Tim Lam
well i am not going to be upgrading later on, i dont have the money to upgrade for a larger electrical system to support a bigger amp. i will just be sticking to my MRP-M1000, possibly a 1.5k watt amp at most
kingleo
You could sell the alpine and save up a little and get a 1500watt amp to really drive te lvl 2's. That sounds like a great idea, Skar1500.1D would do good on a pair of DC Lvl2's, or maybe just go all skar and get a pair of VVX's. Tim Lam
well i just ordered a new battery for under the hood(Kinetik HC1400). that might just happen, i have do to more research to find a 1500rms amp i like. but i think ill get the 2 Level @'s. that way ill have more flexibility with a 1200rms(even though we all know they can take a lot more)
