They are great for those who don't know or don't have the equipment to solder, more power to those that can solder though. I seem to always make a mess with solder. I seem to always make a mess with solder. i know a few people like this. i used to make a mess with solder too. til someone showed me how to do it the right way. but either way butt connectors work just as well IMO its a matter of preference and ease of use.
