Don't agree with the butt connectors but the rest is good info.

They are great for those who don't know or don't have the equipment to solder, more power to those that can solder though.

I've always been a fan of using butt connectors with heat shrink for my own installations. I seem to always make a mess with solder. :rolleyes:

i know a few people like this. i used to make a mess with solder too. til someone showed me how to do it the right way. but either way butt connectors work just as well IMO its a matter of preference and ease of use.
