Crandis16
I just got my car fixed, the timing belt and idler pulley needed replaced. I got it back and instantly drove around to test it and started bumping. I got back home no problem. went to the car a few hours later and battery reads 3 volts.... I didn't leave lights on and the amp switch was off and it can only be turned on if remote on HU has a charge... is this the death of a battery or do you think there is more to it than that? big 3 has been performed and I have had no problems since then until now after it was in the shop Quote My Red zx2 Build Log My Black zx2 Build Log My Red zx2 UBL
BassJunkie
How old is that battery? If wasn't a bad battery sounds like you have a dead short somewhere in there. sprkn_ranger
Take the battery out and go to autozone or O'rielys and have them test it. Crandis16
lock this thread. found out problem because I'm stupid. rubber pad to break pedal assembly fell out, thinking it was trash I threw it out and brake lights stayed on and drained my battery. I'm stupid. I replaced that rubber pad with a penny and electrical tape and it works for the time being until I can get some epoxy to make it permanent Quote My Red zx2 Build Log My Black zx2 Build Log My Red zx2 UBL
HatersGonnaHate
That rubber bushing is a bitch lol. I had mine break apart and kill my battery years ago. Then it happened to my buddies car as well. That thing is annoying! Glad you got it fixed though!! I went to my workplace, the car shop, and my buddy's place to retrace my steps. didn't bother going to the mall because I forgot where I parked. I'm glad I'm not the only one with this problem. It sound like 14 year old rubber doesn't like staying a part of the car for very long Quote My Red zx2 Build Log My Black zx2 Build Log My Red zx2 UBL
1996BLKBauer
This is really a common thing. I see this happen all the time to cars, and trucks, but for some reason I see it more on Fords, then anything else. At lease I somewhat have the knowledge to troubleshoot whats going on and fixing it myself as opposed to taking it to a shop and saying "fix it" Quote My Red zx2 Build Log My Black zx2 Build Log My Red zx2 UBL

Plus they already have glue on the back, so you just stick it on and your good. Quote 1996 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer V8 AWD So far with the Ford/JBL Stock Stereo system, Alpine System coming soon.
