Tim Lam
drilled through the 1.5" baffle witha 2" hole saw. could have been done so many different ways lol. took the long route. cleaned up well with the reciprocating saw very tight fit for the PVC and the subs fit JUST right:) fat ass baskets on the HDC3's haha and yes that annoying shaped end will be cut off
Tim Lam
okay well it's done, well done for about a month now. i'd have literally 0 time since i finished to put any finalizing touches on it (appearance-wise) but since i finished, i have had tons of time getting inbetween places to listen and finally tune it to what i want. my friend made some suggestions but i wanted to hear things for myself i played around with th LPF and Subsonic filter. the bass of the car felt really empty since i had unplugged the rear 6x9's(due to cancellation with the subs) so after more time testing, i found the range of ~10-120Hz for my 2 HDC3's to leave a quite full, broad and clean range of bass to help balance out the 6 tweeters up front! more pics to come.( hopefully soon lol)
notorious97200
You're getting louder ! Nice ! I like this kind of build : not excessive, like anyone could have in a car. But why do you need 6 tweeters upfront ? That's a bit much. black BMW X1 2.0 l 192 hp OEM head unit, Amplifiers : Audison AP 8.9 amp with integrated DSP and Ampere Audio 1200. Focal ES 100 K in front doors, and Dayton RS 180 for midbass under the front seats. 2 SSA DEMONS 10" subs, in a 2.6 ft3 ported box. SecondSkin Damplifier on front doors, and Luxury Liner Pro for the cargo area.
reg93f150
made a complete rookie mistake, made the cut out exactly 12" and the sub slipped right through. so i used the mounts from the prefab box. ive done the exact same thing, but it was in front of a couple friends.. needless to say i got laughed at for a while.. haha ALL CREDIT TO XX1 FOR DC BANNER down rpping vanderbilt. 30 miles from victoria. i own the 3rd loudest setup here out of 3. but i did put together all 3 setups strapping 2 amps together ? like bolting them next together? using bungy cables to hold them down? or wiring separate amps to each sub

But why do you need 6 tweeters upfront ? That's a bit much. it's just the way the speakers are i have up front are. the two in the dash have tweets and the 6x9's in the doors have 2 tweets each. so it's not like i went out of my way for them but they sound regardless. going to be changing to 6.5"s because i hear round speakers sound much better. Tim Lam
well after a month of bumping, something went wrong haha. not mad about it because i rushed when it happened. duct taped the direct leads to the speaker wire and i guess something came loose. so i took the chance to make the box look a bit better. pics in a bit.
