Cazz
At the moment I have a Rockford Fosgate P300 which is running a Rockford Fosgate Punch P3S 12" Shallow Sub. I am going to upgrade to 4 SA-8 v2's so what amp would I need to power it and would I need to get a new Head Unit? My Head Unit is a Alpine CDA-9887R. Vito Basser
The head unit you have is perfect (I have one too ) If your going to be getting the dual 2ohm versions you can wire them to 4ohm each then wire them parallel to create a 1ohm load. Get a 2-2.5k rms mono block. The Sundown SAZ2500D would be a good choice... That said, what's your budget? Do you have any electrical upgrades? yUmadBro
Mean machine monoblock does about 2500 @ 1 ohm i believe. Not to bad considering the price, probably does a little less than 2500 though
 23 230
Cazz
Well I don't really have a budget but I don't want to spend like loads of money on something I don't need, so just anything cheap that will run them no problem. Also I don't know how to wire it so what ill do is buy the subs make the box and buy the amp and get it professionally fitted. So what's the cheapest amp that will do the job without any problems. Keith77
I would go with a 3K amp. That will give you 750w per sub. With rise and voltage drop you will be ok. These subs are very underrated at 500rms But like Vito said. Your going to need the electrical first to do this. HO Alternator and extra Battery(s) Wiring ext.. My penis is bigger than your penis I'm far from loud and my roof/headliner flaps around like Adam's ass on a windy day. I think it depends more on the structure of the vehicle. Cazz
So any recommended Amps, By the way with all the recommended Amps I will pick the cheapest because I am tight on cash and I want it quick, meaning I don't want to have to wait a long time to get it. Cazz
Ok so £834.99 for the SAZ-2500D is there any cheaper because the subs are going to cost me around £520 without the postage, so its going to be around 1.4k.
 7 133
Cazz
£180 for the Mean Machine Monoblock and it does the job, looks like this is on my list.
 7 133
