Also, I'm gonna pull the JL and measure my box. I built it a while ago and swear it was to JL spec. 99% sure but I wana see.

JL may or may not be a good company, but they're so big now they don't have to improve their products any. The W7 has been the same for 10 years. Mainstream does that to ya.

If you think your specs ray will make that great of a difference I have no prpoble smaking a box together.

Try your box in the trunk... then try the box Ray said. I think you'd see a much bigger difference there than building the box... but I do think that box would sound better.

Did you try it in the trunk yet? I know they can get loud in the right box/setup. I did 147.5 with 2 12's at my last show

I actualy sent you a pm a week ago asking about your set up. Haven't tossed it in the trunk yet but am looking to buy a 2nd one. It seems your acomplishing what I'm trying to do, hair tricks. It will go in this week, I'm pulling the solo baric out.

The solo baric is a good sub, but even with four I don't think they'll pull off my end game

Got your pm. If you put the box in the trunk it should be alot louder, also i'm assuming your other subs were unhooked but still in the vehicle when you tested the w7. Those subs being in the vehicle were probably decreasing your spl also. I tested one of my subs with the 2nd sub unhooked, it hit 137.5.(didnt knock my socks off either) I removed the unhooked sub from its box and covered the hole and ports with mdf and retested.. 140.0.

If you want to do hair tricks you better get a 2nd one. Even then it wont be easy, probably need a new box with more port. Front-firing into cabin and sealed off will probably be best but mine still moved hair rearfiring so its not impossible. Good luck
