Anyone tried an SA recone on a CVX?

[412 CVX]

I've got a blown CVX 12". i think the VC diam is 2.55, which isn't very much off from the SA's 2.5".

ik it's not perfect, but has anyone triied to recone a kicker CVX 12 with an SA recone? any success?

I remeber reading somewhere that someone tested this and althought he VC is only .05" difference the outter size or gap in between the motor was to tight or rubbed....ehh I cant remember I just remember that someone somewhere on here said it wouldnt work.

You could always order the recone and see for yourself....if it doesnt work buy a motor and basket from sundown and make a sa-12...

I wouldnt mind seeing someone frankenstein this though....Man some Sundown Nuthuggers would probably be pissed if you showed the the sub than pulled it outta the box and it was a CVX back .

You should try it and if it works I will keep my blown CVX's and build a pair of 15's as well.

^^^^so then you are going to do a build low like the Techforce guy who had 2 18s and 2 15s/// instead you would have 2 12s and 2 15s....???
