So, unstrapping my amps today, will be needing to gain match them. Amps are 4 sundown saz4500s will be at .5ea ( yes, i have the electrical) Dont have a DD1 no locals have a DD1 What voltage roughly should i be looking for? Yes, i know this doesnt eliminate clipping.. Thats not what im aftet just need to gain match

1998 gmc extd cab

12 crossfire C710s

4 SAZ-4500s

3 Singer 400A alts
buncha mids/highs

the DD-1 doesn't gain match.

It does not, but, set your gains with the DD-1, then from there use a DMM to match them to the best of your ability to keep them as close to unclipped power as you can.

he didn't ask about setting gains. He asked about gain matching.

But wouldn't setting with the dd-1 then going with the lowest unclipped voltage using a digital multi-meter work?

Yeah, I am saying use DD-1 to get your amps to the best setting as possible, and from there match the gains to the one with the lowest voltage set from the being set with the DD-1. Which would allow you to have all your amps gain matched, also being matched to the best that they possibly can.

The CC-1 gain matches

Forgot about that, if he can find someone with a CC-1 that'd be best. Also, I like to use this better than that chart.

http://www.the12volt.com/ohm/ohmslawcalculators.asp#voltage Use the bottom calc of watt*ohms = volts
