used the stock small case to test fit and it looks small but the large case will fill it in. still not going to marks the holes since the large case mount are 1/4 wider

p.s cat decided to photo bomb me

which one? the first one, 2nd or 3rd?

the first one i designed it freestyle mode. the other 2 drawings was made by ram designs. im not going to use those design and go.. first one was before the sp4 came out. the second one looks like a total fail. he design it at 2.5 sealed which is too large for the sub. 1.75 to 2.0 is what it needs to be

did a bid of work.. after checking things out i decided not to send the alt in and spend more money on it to have the case changed.. i moved things around and found a way to do it. the original plan did not work so i have to redo the template for the dual alt bracket. i think it will work for when i have money to upgrade to hairpin.. still dual 350a does not sound bad at all

the tape on there was to add more cardboard to it.. i want the bracket to be as beefy as possible.. im also going to do a back support from the header to the alternator. with as much torque this engine has its better to have it solid

  • 3 weeks later...

got a few bolts and nuts from work and decided to work on the truck for a few minutes. the bolts fit the alt but did not fit the stock bolt holes on the bracket so had to buy a bit kit from auto zone. the cheap bits actually put in work and cut through the brackets like butter. so on with the alts a mocked up the cardboard with the alternators and drilled the holes to bolt it in. i took the time to do this to check for hood clearance and im glad i did. it avoided extra work with the steel plate and recutting. as you will see on the last picture i had a bit of clearance issues but it looks like its not much and can work on it once the steel is marked

here is how it will look
