Yea meter killed it for me. I did a 148.2 with my 2 DD9518's but now I'm building a wall because I want to have fun and demo for people. So if it does a 50 ill be happy as long as it hurts.

thats exactly what i want to do. i wanna start off with 2518s, then go to either 2 9518s or 4 9515/12s

I thought the 2518's were more a pa type speaker. A buddy I know had a 3518 on a sundown 4500 for awhile. He beat the shit out of it. Blew it on his park n pound run. I wouldn't run anything less then a 3500 series. I wouldn't even be running DD if I didn't get these subs for stupid cheap.

Sorry to hear you are walling off man. Wish there was something i could do to help. Trunks are not easy. It has taken me over 8 boxes, countless of hours and blood, sweat, vodka and 2 years to get where I am at today. My advise is to do what ever makes you happy and what sounds loud to you. This whole misconception about numbers these days are blown way out of proportion. I was only concerned about my numbers because it was something that I was after for so long. That and people told me it was not possible. 3+ years later I have proved them all wrong. The main thing is man do what makes you happy, numbers dont matter when you are giving someone a demo and the smile on their face after you just ear raped them. It seems that no one gives a shit about a car that does 150+ vs a tahoe or blazer or suv that is doing 145s with 10+ subs in it . Guess the times are a changing. For now I'll stick to my low scoring trunk as I'm happy with it.

i thought about life yesterday. with school and job hunting, i dont have time for a wall yet, but it will happen in the summer. For now im gonna fix my sub and build a new box for the trunk ...joy

Honestly, I think if you're tired of 9512's, I say switch to HDC4's and see what happens, I think you may get louder with them.
