i would look into switching head units. maybe just pick up a cheapie to test with and keep on a shelf somewhere for worst case scenarios. somethign isnt right. I know people dick ride Knu but Ive never really been a fan of any of it at all. Same thign with pioneer heads. which pioneer is it? Do you havet he SLA and all that stuff off etc? you could be missing something tiny. I know on my head unit LOUD is on by default.

I am asking this because if your port is 5 inches wide, then the port wall goes back so far, and lets say there is only 4 1/2 inches between where the port ends and the wall, this could be whats causing the problem.

I've seen it happen before in error box builds and cause problems like your having, thats why i am asking, where the port area starting inside the box is smaller than the actual port area itself

i cant comprehend any of this port length shit right now because im soo burnt out on life (aka spring break)

but i know when i built it that it was right. the port opening in the back or w/e needs to be bigger or equal to the port...did i say that right?

i used torres..no bends so it has to be right...besides this box has yet to play these subs at all....so this all happened on my old box

as slammin said, the port area where the pressure exits HAS to be the same port area at the entrance to the port inside the box, otherwise all sorts of messed up shit happens, that of coarse unless your doing some sort of folded horn design, which has to be perfectly designed to be successful.

Where slammin stated as greater, he is referring to, if the port was only 6 inches deep, because thats all you needed for tuning, then there would be a larger distance between the back wall, and the end of the port wall.

I was basically making sure the entrance to the port was the same area as the exit.

so if your port area for example, was 12x5 then you would want to be sure that where your port begins inside your box is a 12x5 opening,

I have seen a box that had a 12x5 port for example, and inside the box the port wall went back so far that it measured 12x3, see what I mean?

Its kinda confusing to explain with out sitting and showing you on a piece of paper or an actual box lol

i have updates for this build. we blew up one of the 9512s, ill have videos up in a second. the triple joints on both subs blew.

not on the newly reconed one but from the previous mess up. so slammin 30 sec averaged a 145.1 with a broken sub!!!

vids of carnage will be up in a bit. luckily i had a recone on hand so we will get it in today or tomorrow!! maybe he will get loud this time.

i have a ground loop on my pioneer deck.. and i dont clip the deck at all.. up to volume 62.

and the the fuckkk are you destroying so many subs? your not putting all that much power to them.. unless your playing like 20hz full tilt bottoming the sub out with only 30 sec on a fresh recone... you should have an issue...
