Power & Ground Wire, wrong sockets.

I thought that thing didn't look right. I'm on mobile so I couldn't really tell in detail but hopefully its just the diode instead of something expensive or possibly having to replace the amp

They aren't crispy nor burnt. It's some black bonding material they used I'm assuming.

However, by the power & ground terminals I noticed this;

PropertyCo, it does have a scent. More so solder-like than plastic to me. Also, it did melt the tip of the power wire. Like I said, I put the power & the ground wire into the wrong terminals in a rush. :L

My girlfriend says it smells like formaldehyde.

New Setup;

H/U; Pioneer DEH-80prs.

Wiring; 2 runs of 2/0 OFC & Big 3.

Subs; 2 D1 DC Level 4s.

Monoblock; DC 3.5k.

4 Channel; JBL GTO1004.

Highs; Vifa NE25VTS-04.

Mids; Aura NS6-255-8A.

Alt; 160a.

Batts; Optima, KHC1800.

I bought an mb quart onx1500 from someone who had did this.. Fried the protection diode. Cost 40 bucks to get it fixed... Hopefully your hifo has the same setup

where is this iin the amp i just did this to my 1500.1
