Zapanater Posted July 10, 2012 Report Posted July 10, 2012 So me and a buddy were thinking one day, and we came up with a little money scheme. We both are recently jobless, and have all the time in the world, and a litle cash yet. We both know audio. Im good with building boxes and tuning and all that jazz, he's good with pro audio, especially guitar amps and whatnot. So we are planning on making some guitar cabinets in our spare time, and selling them for some dough. We'd do completely custom stuff, painting, wrapping, etc.... Along with whatever size and quantity of drivers the customer wanted. THen we hit a small hiccup. Because we won't tout any particular brand, is it better to... Load the enclosure with cheapie speakers from parts express.... Load them with quality speakers from parts express... Or just leave them unloaded? Or give the customer options as to what they'd like them to be loaded with? The thing is we can buy drivers, but we lose money from the shipping and really can't sell them for more than what would be retail. But will people want to buy an unloaded cabinet? Would you buy one? Anybody have any input? 2015 Subaru Outback. That is all, I refuse to touch it.

bassface Posted July 10, 2012 Report Posted July 10, 2012 Get a real job and do that as a sidejob, cant put all your eggs in one basket
andale927 Posted July 12, 2012 Report Posted July 12, 2012 Get a real job and do that as a sidejob, cant put all your eggs in one basket Exactly you need continuous income. I have an ebay business but don't rely on it
Zapanater Posted July 12, 2012 Author Report Posted July 12, 2012 Trust me, I don't plan on it. I've been looking into a few jobs. Turned two down already. At this stage in the game it's better for me to wait for college to start up again and just get one down near the university. This is as much for fun as for profit. 2015 Subaru Outback.
