Tschib13
I have a 2002 mustang and I was thinking about doing 3 sundown sa 8s. Would I be able to fit a box of that size in the trunk?
2K XJ
Yeah you'll be able to fit them. I'm doing 3 SA8 V2s in 1.8 cubes tuned to 32hz. 1.8 cubes is completely doable in your mustang, my sister has a 2001 and she has plenty trunk space. Heres my box for my 8s in case you want to see it. john253a
How much power do you have and how much power do you plane on putting latter, I no the newer stangs have a harrow trunk Youll be able to 6 if you want maybe even 8 if you want to keep any trunk idd go 2-4 of them depending on amp selection 3x dvc2 will give up 1.33ohm and after box rise you should see high 1's, so a good quality 2ohm stable amp will work but a 1ohm will be better If you ask me for a min 200rms a pop is the lowest idd run but to 750-800 is better Edited July 12, 2012 by john253a

stroupe79
thats only 24inches of sub width..and 8 height so roughly 30x10....you have plenty of room height and width to put 3 sa8's in a mustang.. did you plan on having the subs/port sealed forward from the trunk?....you have tons of room..those subs dont take much space to run them Quote http://www.stevemead...cherokee-build/ 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Alpine CDE-hd148bt Alpine PKG-RSE2 PRV Audio (4) 6MB200 front/rear doors PRV Audio (4) TW350Ti dash/rear doors Kicker KX350.4 Obsidian Audio (1) 18 D4 v2 revamp (2) Stereo Integrity HT 18d2DC Audio 1.2k5.25ft^3 tuned @34hz revamp Infinite Baffle Cpillar AudioTechnix 60mil deadenerKnuKonceptz & SkyHigh wire (complete setup)
Tschib13
I plan on porting them. My orignal plan was to use 2 sa 12s but most people said to do 2 10s or 3 8s but idk will the 8s be able to play the lows? I would love to do the 12s if anyone has and box designs for me. I could even do 1 15" i want SPL so. The dimensions would be 35"w x 10.5"h x 23"L
Joe X
You would need 13H for 12s.
john253a
Why only 10.5 high And what direction are the subs Up, back, fwd Also these think get low, They are a nasty little sub, Edit, depending on port and sub location you could do up to 6 in that box, on close to 6k of power, If you want spl it will come at a price In cone are 2 of these are = to 1 10 but 1 of these hit hit as hard as a 10 with the lows of a 12, I can't assist with a drawing as I'm at work but when I get home I can How much power? how many do you want to run? What direction of sub/port? And what %of sq to spl would you like? Edited July 12, 2012 by john253a
