252chevyboyz
haha that was just a start to get dimensions down really. The actual box is tuned to 42hz with the fixed port and 36hz with the insert. I will just keep the insert for everyday music and then I will remove the insert and use the 42ha tuning to compete with or just run on the termlab for fun to see what I am actually doing number wise. What do you think of 36hz nad 42hz? - 1997 Chevy Tahoe- Big 3 (1/0)- Dual Autocraft Batts- JVC KD-A315 HU- AQ 2200.1D- 18" AQ HDC3- Box w/ Removable Port (6ft^3 @ 36hz & 6.7ft^3 @ 42hz)- 39' 1/0 & 13' 2/0 Flex-A-Prene My Selling Feedback Build Log

252chevyboyz
I will start sanding the glass tomorrow afternoon/night depending on when it is fully cured. Also should have the baffle on tomorrow after I sand everything. I also will be adding the bracing tomorrow afternoon. Opinions please: Should I glass the baffle to the box on the inside or leave it so I can still remove the baffle to work on different ports if I ever decide to tune lower? Bed liner on the box or paint it? If you say paint it what kind of paint would you recommend? - 1997 Chevy Tahoe- Big 3 (1/0)- Dual Autocraft Batts- JVC KD-A315 HU- AQ 2200.1D- 18" AQ HDC3- Box w/ Removable Port (6ft^3 @ 36hz & 6.7ft^3 @ 42hz)- 39' 1/0 & 13' 2/0 Flex-A-Prene My Selling Feedback Build Log
john253a
My self I like bed liner, but you still need to fill and sand, joins, just not as good as paint, As far as top, once you glue and screw it ain't coming off, the glass just assisted the strength and seal
252chevyboyz
I like the bed lined look also. I have filled all the screw holes and do I need to go around the seems and seal them too before I bed line it? - 1997 Chevy Tahoe- Big 3 (1/0)- Dual Autocraft Batts- JVC KD-A315 HU- AQ 2200.1D- 18" AQ HDC3- Box w/ Removable Port (6ft^3 @ 36hz & 6.7ft^3 @ 42hz)- 39' 1/0 & 13' 2/0 Flex-A-Prene My Selling Feedback Build Log

252chevyboyz
I really appreciate it man. I finished it up yesterday afternoon. All i got left to do is bed line it and I will be done. I glassed the baffle on the outside of the box and it has a good amount of titebond between the baffle and box. No air leaks anywhere while playing. I have checked the box at every seam to try and find a leak but glad there weren't any. Got a few pics below of my progress. -James - 1997 Chevy Tahoe- Big 3 (1/0)- Dual Autocraft Batts- JVC KD-A315 HU- AQ 2200.1D- 18" AQ HDC3- Box w/ Removable Port (6ft^3 @ 36hz & 6.7ft^3 @ 42hz)- 39' 1/0 & 13' 2/0 Flex-A-Prene My Selling Feedback Build Log
