There is a harness that is wired to the alt and attached to a bolt by the fuse box where the alt to battery stock wire is. What should I do? Normally an alt will have both a harness that plugs into the voltage regulator AND a bolt terminal that is. The positive output. Trying to do the big 3 How much does the stock alternator output on your Cobalt? I'd assume there is a alt-positive, but if not, you may have to splice. However, the stock harness and that connector aren't designed for high outputs, I'm assuming.
