Chris Hammer
Or for 5-600 you could do a budget setup. Get a cheaper JVC headunit with less features if you dont need some of the stuff. Skip the Preamp/or EQ if you are just running head unit power for your speakers. Get a used amplifier off of here or CACO thats like 500wrms or similar and get a sundown E-12 or e-15. Build your own box. I bet you could come in under 600$ and maybe squeeze in a new set of speakers too. focused313
sorry to hear about your car being broke in, I've had it happen in the past. Alarm #1. with a pager. Bolt your stuff down next time with non-typical screws (as in, no phillips or flat heads). Atleast that way, it'll be a ****** for a thief to get them out. Bolt your box down from the inside if possible. As for what to buy, these guys should be able to help you with that very easily, that is if you can build your own box, which I can't and don't have the tools to do. Quote Learning Everyday. Riley Evan Houser
If your box is attached to the frame with bolts it is also covered under insurance
focused313
If your box is attached to the frame with bolts it is also covered under insurance nice to know. Can't you extra sound equipment insurance separately though? Quote Learning Everyday. Riley Evan Houser
I'd also invest in an alarm.. And, another thought.. Sounds pretty ghetto but would get shit done.. After you are done messing with your head unit and what not line the backs of your stuff with razor blades if you want..had a buddy do it.. Cleaned up blood once or twice but nobody ever tried stealing his shit after that. You don't have a buddy with any tools?
