White Lightning
At 28hz it barely breaks -3db If you model it at 35hz it holds @0db from 40+ and a -3 of 30 So idd say I never missed the point The only way I could get it below 30 was freeair, With cabin gain you may get there, You'll still play >30hz but below -3db To me that still fine to some they arnt happy with that Wow ... Like I said, I'm not an Enclosure designer / builder ... I just know that Team Linear Blues tuned my enclosure to 22htz with a flat response using minimum airspace for my drivers with 80 inches of 4 inch PVC port tuning ... Even though the enclosure is tuned very low, Is does very well playing higher frequiencies to match up with my midbass drivers ... White Lightning
the long and short of an isobaric set up is all the weakness of the single sub are balanced by the other sub and the result is the tightest cleanest most accurate bass you'll ever hear ( if done correctly ) not the loudest but the cleanest I agree ... Also, my midbass driver are VERY stable down to around 40 htz (Sound Quality music, not outlaw SPL stuff) so I hardly ever have to play my sub drivers any higher than 50 htz Kenwood / HELIX / Linear Power (For The Love Of Music) / Brutal Sounds / OverKill Electric Co Questions About Sound Quality ?? john253a
That's a different story then, You still want to be above -3db As long as its a flat response, Do you have the space for a 3" aero 23"+ I'll remodel it when I get home lower
CleanSierra
I do have space for an aero of that size yes Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
CleanSierra
John, time for a little bumpage. I'm gonna go with a length of 52" across the back of the bed. 14" height, 4" top depth, 8" bottom depth. I'm gonna do 2 3" aeros with the outside of the MDF routered to be flared. I can adjust length on ports and am thinking in the 20-24" range for the tuning. I'm not looking for any serious authority out of the subs, but am looking for super clean, tight sound that covers a wide band. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you. john253a
That's going to be a hard build to get iso in that Getting subs in the right spot for clearance is going to be the key
CleanSierra
I think I've got this thing pretty well planned out. The ports will have clearance for mounting the subs. Then I'll build a trim ring for between the surrounds(that way I don't have to mount the one sub INSIDE of the baffle. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
