Im not doing a stripper pole because im not ruing my car, and i dont see a need for it in a trunk car. Set up is subs forward and trunk sealed off. My question is, will one layer of deadener help? or will adding 2-3 or 4 make a huge difference. Ive heard that 1 is all you need, and from others that the more you add the more it helps. fox_racin4 Posted July 22, 2012 Report Share Posted July 22, 2012 if your roof is somewhat flat... 1/8" hardboard is your friend.. cut to rough shape of rood.. put LOTS of PL glue on it and hold it up on roff for an hour or 2 ( use a jack for stedy pressure ) then deaden over that and youll be good.. BUT in SPL the race for .5 anything you do can lower the score. all the "general rules of thumb" can lower or improve your score. Like you said thou if its that bad im sure it will help but that doesn't mean it will. Quote J. emperorjj1 Posted July 23, 2012 Report Share Posted July 23, 2012 deadening hardbord isnt necessarily a good idea because a CLD is inneffective really on wood. the whole gluing the hardboard to ur roof thing may work but considering how much more work it is over a proper CLD like damplifier pro i wouldnt look at doing that out of the gate Quote J.
