Astranomical
today my amp started making a weird hi pitched noise so i shut my car off for acouple hours then went to turn the car back on and it makes a high pitched noise for like 3 seconds then the amp goes right into protect mode. It is a sax1200d im running stock electrical with 0 gauge rf wire. Does anyone have any idea what this could be was going to enter my first competition in august and now my amp is shot i think. Astranomical
Well the buzzing noise went away but i turn my deck up to 34/62 and my amp started to smoke so i took my amp apart if you notice in the first picture there is a little blue box underneath the silver wire with something that looks like popcorn i dont know what that is
Tarball
Eat the popcorn, make sure you have adequate power to the amp, get a new amp. Seriously though.... You need to tell more about your setup, what subz, what ohm load, how is you amp wired - where is the run of 1/0 going? DO you have big 3 done. Are your gains set properly (define how). How hard do you clip your amp. etc... Edited for spelling, mistype. Astranomical
I left it on for about 30 mins at a time and it was my daily driver. Also it was on my backseat folded down so it had room to breath I just never gave it a fan I had thought I starved it
