get a new alternator from mechman or dc power if you want to keep those amps alive.

adding more batteries wont really help that much. your alt is already using 20 amps of its power to charge your two batteries. your alt, if i looked it up correctly (01 sierra) is 145 amps.

you have two options here. either 1) turn the volume down. or 2) get a ho alt.

you also have to realize that your batteries take a LONG time to charge. shit, the alternator doesnt even really charge them fully since thats not its job. so having the voltage dip down that much, then stopping your music for like two minutes, and playing full tilt again, means that your batteries never get a good charge.

edit: not to mention your kinetik isnt really big enough to suit your stereo.

with the battery cap and batterys at full charge it drops to 12.5v ish so your say get a high output alt or play it till batterys get low? how many amp alt do i need? thanks for the help

capacitors do absolutely fucking nothing in your case. they're doing more harm than good.

you either spend the $500 and get the biggest high output alt you can get from either of those companies i listed, or dont let your voltage drop down into the 12's.

the voltage is going to drop regardless of how many batteries you put in it. the alt will only be able to output so much power. the more batteries you put in, the longer it will take the alt to charge them.

You get what you pay for when it comes to alternators and batteries. Electrical is one thing you dont want to go cheap on. Especially if you want your system to last and sound great while doing it
