Tim Lam
so i was thinking of upgrading my system, so obviously i need the juice to back it up. so theoretically, if i was fully content with my system upgrade(2k-3k rms), and i wanted to get some batteries in the trunk, what would be the differences in getting two smaller batteries vs 1 larger battery? (with the 2 smaller ones matching specs of the larger one)
Socky
Depends, it would be easier to maintain one battery rather than two smaller ones. Why not just get a pretty good battery so you just can add more of them later down the road. Plus it would be less wire to do one battery. Bump4life
Just get a D3100 in the back and any other you can fit in the front. it is easy to say just get a D3100. they are 370 bux. thats expensive man. ahah OP most likely 2 smaller bats would be more money though if they were to equal the bigger one. plus you would need more wiring. and the difference between 2-3k for elec upgrades can be significant. at 2k you can get away with beefing up stock electrical and adding a bat. at 3k you need to start planning out the system carefully to see if you need an alt, more bats, bigger wires, etc. id agree with most when they say get a larger bat. but for me, 1 smaller bat worked out just fine for me in addition to my stock bat. and i am running well over 2k with all my amps. but if you have dough, you really can't go wrong with a D31000 or a batcap 4000. just monster power houses Buyer/Seller Feedback Thread: http://www.stevemead...5015-bump4life/ MB C220 153 Trunk Car Build Log: http://www.stevemead...d/#entry1840136 MB C280 Ipad Dash SQ Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/194484-bump4lifes-new-benz-tony-c-relay-kit-pictures-ce-electric-audison-front-stage-installed/ My SPL Log: http://www.stevemead...__fromsearch__1 BMW M340 xDrive Stock, for now.
