BenzBass Posted July 24, 2012 Report Share Posted July 24, 2012 I wanna help a friend build a box for his crown Vic. Hes got 2 12w6s off of a JL 1000/1 amp. It will be ported, like to tune around 30-32 hz. I'm not sure what the displacement is on the subs and I can get maximum dimensions later but it's an 06 crown vic, and Im sure plenty of people on here probably have trunk builds with the panther platform. Joe X Posted July 25, 2012 Report Share Posted July 25, 2012 Here is a box suggestion, dimensions used usually fit this type of vehicle but changes can be made: Ports/subs front firing or back firing: Enclosure Specifications: Fb = 32 Hz Vb = 4.1 ft^3 External Height = 16 in External Width = 38 in External Depth = 21 in Port Width = 4 1/4 in Cut Sheet List: * All Dimensions in Inches. * Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts. External Enclosure Parts: 2x Front = 16 1/2 x 14 1/2 2x Front Internal = 15 x 14 1/2 Back = 38 x 14 1/2 Left & Right Sides: 19 1/2 x 14 1/2 Top & Bottom = 38 x 21 Shared Port Internal Assembly Parts: 2 x Front to Back = 17 3/8 x 14 1/2 2 x Extension = 8 15/16 x 14 1/2 Let me know any comments, questions.
