Securing a box

Recommended Posts

I screw box down, or bolt it,

When screwing I go from outside of box and screw into the box

As for bolts I either use the baby seat bolts or bake my owns holes with mylock nuts

When I install the subs I try to alway use t-nut with security bolts, (with a special tool like a wheel nuts) even use taques bits(like an alenkey but star)

If you go to hardware store they will have a selection of anti-theift bolts and nuts

The only real reason to bolt down a box is so it doesn't move. If they want your subs, they'll take em. When I got mine stolen, they just pried it up and broke the box in the process. There was still a piece of wood left behind where the bolts were. They can do that, or just unscrew them from the box.

yeah, 90% of the time if they know you have something worth stealing they will turn up with the right stuff to take it.

Good rule of thump is go by what fuse size is being used in these amps. The higher the more amperage it pulls, this is what I look at.

I'll stick a 300 amp fuse in a potato and sell it to you for $2k.
