h/u for 95 explorer? do i need the ford key for removal?

my wifes coworker wants me to install a cd player into her 95 explorer and i was just wondering if any of you know if the removal key is needed or any other specail tools?

You can get that removal tool from walmart. Or just use a coat hanger to insert in the holes.

^^ well that the thing though i havent even seen the stock unit in a 95 explorer so i dont know if ford made it to where the trim ring will pop off or if you have to take the stock unit out using a removal key ( or coat hanger ive done that ).

my dad has the removal key i just want to make sure i have everything and know what im doing before jumping in...

As others have said, coat hangers do work. But that removal tool ford has makes it so much easier/quicker.

yes, you will need the removal tool, or an alternative. Coathanger will work, but those things are so cheap at walmart or autozone
