SnowDrifter
Just wondering what it would take to convert my car over to projectors. I already have the kit from DDM w/ h4 bulbs. So I guess all I would need are some lenses right? If I were to get something like this, would I just have to bolt it in and install my current HIDs or is there more to it? http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-CAR-MOTOR-AUTO-VEHILE-2-5-HID-BI-XENON-HEADLIGHT-PROJECTOR-LENS-LEN-H4-/290716474285?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item43b00d5bad&vxp=mtr#ht_7912wt_1163 Quote ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
xx1
I dont know what car are these going into, but with those lenses probably your lighting pattern would suck. I've heard these are awesome, and the pattern its superb. http://www.ebay.com/itm/MORIMOTO-MINI-H1-4-1-BIXENON-PROJECTORS-CLEAR-LENS-HID-H7-H4-RETROFITS-LHD-/260956326682?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3cc2358b1a&vxp=mtr Quote audio related merchandise (decals, banners, lanyards, hats, shirt, etc)

SnowDrifter
Ok sweet thanks There are a few things I am wondering about this though.. How do I secure the projectors in the stock housing? Do they bolt right in / do I have to glue them in / make my own holes And how do I make sure they are level? Beyond that, just stick the bulb in and go? P.s. Does any one know of a 5000k h4 bulb that is both good and will fit the ddm ballasts? Park about 50 feet of a wall and try to get ge horizon line whereyou feel it dosent blind anyone amd is perfectly even with the other one. So the light beam should be like this - and not like this/ lol As for bulbs, i can say just try to order the ddm ones. Just make sure of your ballast os 55 watt to match it with a 55 watt bulbs and, and so on for the 35 watts Quote Hahah damn cody She ain't that sexy. I wouldn't even let her blow me. ShortWide1994
Email the retro fit source and they can answer any questions you have. To answer your question about what holds the projector to your headlight there is a threaded end on the back of it and you get a nut and screw it on mad that's how it is attached. jdmbb95
get the morimoto mini they are very good i did them on my 2005 kia spectra5 about a year ago you just pull the headlight lense off i used a heat gun to heat the glue up. they plug right in to the bulb socket just make sure to put some plastic epoxy over the nut after all tightend up so the projectors dont ever come loose. also with these projectors theres no having to level the cut off line since they go right into the bulb socket. you will just have to aim your lights after. also get the h1 bulbs if you order them since the projectors wont use ur h4 bulbs. http://www.theretrof...roducts_id=3181 i would also recommend getting some butyl glue to reseal your lense and to make sure you wont have any water leaking in again not really needed but i did it just to be safe and not have to pull them apart again http://www.theretrof...products_id=792 Edited July 29, 2012 by jdmbb95
