CJ18 Posted August 1, 2012 Report Posted August 1, 2012 You have 3 main brands to choose from, DC, AA, and Sundown. If you read my sig, you will know which one I am obviously going to be bias towards, but I have very good reason. You can go wrong with any of the 3 companies, but if you would like information on DC, please send me a PM and I will be glad to help you out.
dl9890 Posted August 1, 2012 Author Report Posted August 1, 2012 After researching this for about a day. I think I'm going to go with the Fi.Q 15" - 1500RMSw sub.
412 CVX Posted August 1, 2012 Report Posted August 1, 2012 Well they're built to order, so it may take a few weeks to get your product. Get the dual 1 ohm voice coils and wire in series. Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs. My temp system build log More box buildssome cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches! I'm with captain stupid.
412 CVX Posted August 1, 2012 Report Posted August 1, 2012 The Q will leave him with some overhead for when he decides that 1k isn't enough for him lol. Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs. Mikey Bates Posted August 1, 2012 Report Posted August 1, 2012 I've been looking to upgrade my current system. I just recently bough a DX1000.1 Kicker mono d block amp(Keeping that). Now i'm looking to replace my 12" kicker comps. I was looking to buy 1 15" and I wanted some help on which one I should buy. I've been looking at a L7 but I've heard many different thoughts on them so it's kinda iffy. Any input would be helpful. It's a 2000 jeep grand cherokee. Limit around 400 - 500 $ puled a 137.5 with a skar vvx 15 d4 on about 500 watts, in 32hz box. 99 jeep grand cherokee. you could buy 2 15s. and youd also be doing more power (:, and sub volume.
412 CVX Posted August 2, 2012 Report Posted August 2, 2012 For some reason i thought this was a trunk build haha. grand cherokee should have enough space for a pair of 15's so if you wanted to do a single 15 now, then add another 15 and another 1k watt amp later you could go with a lower power subwoofer. Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs. aerickson Posted August 2, 2012 Report Posted August 2, 2012 The Q will leave him with some overhead for when he decides that 1k isn't enough for him lol. true. do the fi bl. And get universal option for more power.
dl9890 Posted August 2, 2012 Author Report Posted August 2, 2012 Right now I just want my 15" and my amp. Down the road when I have a better paying job I am definitely saving money and going all out on a really nice system. For now, I'm going to play around and discover what is out there. Everyone has a beginning point.
