KangHzAudio
With the Formula LxWxH Divided by 1728 We get you are at 14.58 cuft Now you want a port you can climb into, that will be a little tricky.. Most the ones with Giant ports a tuned pretty high. If we was to make the port 30inches and 15 as the width, you would need to have the length be about 80 inches.. I will mess around and see what i can do
KangHzAudio
But then you have to factor in Displacement of the subwoofer and subtract that and then also the MDF... They recommend you use a ported box up to 3.75cuft... But from what I can gather you won't be able to climb in your port unless you are 10inches tall lol
john253a
Idd do port top or between subs depending on rear seat height, Are you going to build in car or outside and make trim pannels for the sides You also named to give a bit more info, Amp power and seat heights
Bdurb
it looks like ill have to do 6 inches wide port, but i am building outside of car and then making trim panels, and seats can be folded down, so i was just wondering what the real differnce with the location of the port or if there is any, and as far as amp, i havent decided. Not going to give more than 1000w to each though. john253a
without knowing the height of rear seat (idd assume 16-20h) your port may be restricted a bit at the bottom you may be after something similar to this
Joe X
If you are folding that seat to place the box then probably this other suggestion will suffice: Enclosure Specifications: Fb = 32 Hz Vb = 7.47 ft^3 External Height = 30 in External Width = 42 in External Depth = 18 in Port Width = 32 in Port Height = 3 3/4 in Cut Sheet List: * All Dimensions in Inches. * Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts. External Enclosure Parts: 2 x Front & Back (3 parts) = 42 x 30 Left & Right Sides = 15 3/4 x 28 1/2 Top & Bottom = 42 x 15 3/4 L Port Internal Assembly Parts: Front to Back = 12 x 33 1/2 Extension = 13 x 33 1/2 Port Left Side Assembly: 12 x 3 3/4 17 1/2 x 3 3/4 Port Right Side Assembly: 12 x 3 3/4 17 1/2 x 3 3/4 Let me know any questions.
