hotshot27
I can only think of a couple practical uses for this, but is it possible to have a slot port AND and circular port in the same box? my reason for asking is i want to change the tuning of a box i already have made and dont want to rip it apart to make the slot bigger. I can still reinforce the circular port but was just curious if it would work if proper port calculations are combined or would it completely be a bust. I'm more asking about the theory of it working versus an actual individual situation working. Sorry if this is a weird question. Bryan
I dont know if it could be done how your saying it... Just I would cut a piece of wood to cover the opening of the slot port. Then cut out the circle port holes somewhere else on the box. hotshot27
that would be an option. I have a whole sheet of MDF and will probably just build another box with the new lower tuning but i was still wondering from a hypothetical perspective if it could be done? hotshot27
anyone have some thoughts as to why this would or wouldn't work? And besides mixing ports, could you have a port of any shape as long as the dimensions are constant and a calculatable port area? such as a triangle, hexagon, oval?
