bigkevy
hello, so i think i have made my decision on 2 18" btls along with 2 crescendo bc2000s. what is the best way to hook them up? should i go 1 sub to one amp or should they be strapped? opinions are welcome! 2007 mustang Boyo avn701d hifonics bxi2610 2 olm 2415s hifonics 100.4 2 infinity 6x8s 2 kicker comp cvt 8s

Miguels
get the bc5500 and run it at 1ohm edit: you will pay 220 more on the bc5500 but you are getting 1400 more watts, the btl can handle 2500rms easy and with the impedance rise the btls wont be seeing the 2000 watts with the bc2000. it will be worth getting the 5500 since you will be running the subs closer to the potential my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/
notorious97200
If you don't compete you don't need the bigger amp IMO. You won't notice the power increase, only the TL will ! So, get 2 DVC2 subs: 2 Ohms final, so you can strapp the amps at 1 Ohm each. That would be perfect. If you ever want to sell your system it will be easier to sell one amp and one sub at a time. That would leave you with one amp and sub still in your car ! With one bigger amp and 2 DVC1 subs, you will not be able to do that. It's more difficult to find an amp that can run a btl at 2 Ohms with 2000-2500 watts. black BMW X1 2.0 l 192 hp OEM head unit, Amplifiers : Audison AP 8.9 amp with integrated DSP and Ampere Audio 1200. Focal ES 100 K in front doors, and Dayton RS 180 for midbass under the front seats. 2 SSA DEMONS 10" subs, in a 2.6 ft3 ported box. SecondSkin Damplifier on front doors, and Luxury Liner Pro for the cargo area.
