Pierce Barrett
I'm lookiing into replacing my stock bulbs and getting HID's. I know very little about HID's that's why I need suggestions. I have a 06 F-150 and I was looking at some and I found some I liked and there 30k. Problem is I had a friend tell me that 30k's are super bright! School me please lol. Also I live in Texas if this makes a difference. I know there legal but I do know some colors are illegal. 2006 Ford F150 4.6 3v (2) Digital Deisgns 3515's D4 Digital Designs M3B w/ Toolmaker Dual Inputs Mike Singer Built 340 Amp Alternator Arc Audio KS 300.4 *mids and highs to come soon* Alpine 148BT And tons of 0 AWG

On the internet and the site I was looking at they looked a little purple/pink? Do you also get the ballasts when you buy the HID's as a kit? I don't wanna buy those shitting kind you can get at Auto Zone that say they are HID's but have no ballast. 2006 Ford F150 4.6 3v (2) Digital Deisgns 3515's D4 Digital Designs M3B w/ Toolmaker Dual Inputs Mike Singer Built 340 Amp Alternator Arc Audio KS 300.4 *mids and highs to come soon* Alpine 148BT And tons of 0 AWG

IH8PunkRok
yes the ddm tuning kit comes with ballasts and honestly when you get into that high of a temp you lose all light output and the life of the bulbs is not that good -Matt2005 Dodge Magnum RTJVC KD-AVX1 2 PPI S580.2 Obsidian Audio ST1 Horn Tweeters PRV 8MB450s Audio Legion 3500.1D 2 RE MT 18s 360 ah LiFePO4 BatterySHCA 2/0 155.2 @ 29 hzKicker CVR 15's buildDD 3512e buildMini T-Line Build(6) 8s BuildNightshade 15s Wall BuildMagnum AB XFL 12s BuildNewest Magnum Build

Bump4life
higher the "k" means higher temp and different colors. the ones you wanna deal with are 3k-14k. so 3000k to 14000k. goes 3k is yellow. 5k is white. about 4200k is stock. and 6k is white with hint of blue then higher you go bluer it gets. SnowDrifter
DDM tuning is cheap. I've used them and wouldn't recommend them. Nor would I suggest putting hid bulbs in stock housings. I've done that too and wouldn't suggest it. These guys are who I ultimately settled on. Good products and top notch customer service. https://www.theretrofitsource.com/ ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
