i see you are very very new to this... fill free to check out some of the threads on this to help ya out.. there are a number of threads on this site that will tell you all you need to know.. Before posting this thread i would have read a bit about other peoples build.

8 gauge wire isnt going to do ANYTHING for you in comps.. you need good wire, good rcas, a deck.. i am not going to touch the ohms.. i will let someone else tell ya about it..

You need to know these things... your subs are either 4 ohm to 2 ohm.. look up the sub.. try to find out what they are.. your amp is prolly 2 ohm stable.. it too maybe 4 ohm amp... research is good :)

im not trying to do comps i just want it louad as possible n set up so i wont mess it up. im not dumb just dont know alot about car audio. my sub is 4 ohm and my amp http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-electro...5702#tabsection

thats the website for my amp i am reading on the forum but i was just wondering. n thanks

4 ohm subs with a 4 ohm amp... just hook them up 1 channel per sub.. do not bridge them.. just keep them going.. :) you are going to have to hook them up like that... it wont hurt the subs and the amps.. if you had 2 ohm subs, i would say bridge the subs.. you would get more power to them...

Since your amp is a MONO amp(1 channel) it will "see" anything/everything you hook up to it as the same "load" or a "sum" of "loads" (together)

Since your amp says it will put out 350rms at 4 ohm and DOES NOT say you can run it at any lower impedence (ohms) than 4, you should run your 1-Earthquake 12" that has 1 single voice coil (measured to be 4ohm), you would do as Xtremespl suggested and hook the positive(+) from the amp to the positive (+) on ur sub, and do the same from negative (-) to negative/amp to sub.

That way you amp will be putting out 350rms/continuous watts and 700max to you 1-12" sub.

My GUESS is it is ratted at 1100max @ 2 ohms but don't worry bout that until you have another sub to run.

Ok yeah im gunna buy another sub soon i have the sub hooked up on the outside neg n positive on the amp it has like a line on the terminal pointing to that positive n that negative so i hooked them up there. But what size wire should i be running my friend had told me 8gauge was fine but idk if he is right. and also which way should i face the sub up or into the wall of the trunk facing into the back seats or away from it? and should i definitly buy a new alternator? and thanks for the help

if u are planning on upgrading your system and making it louder then yes u will want a new alt, battery and larger wire.

just so u know 8 gauge wire has been used as speaker wire more then once. just go wit 0 gauge.

if u can put your seats down then face sub and port into the cabin. if not then someone else should suggest a way to face them cause idk.
