What amp do you recommend for those?

Edit: I may sound like an idiot to all of you but I honestly do not know this ; What is the difference between 2 OHMS and 4 OHMS SA-12's? Or sub's in general? Does this affect which amp I should get if I pick either one?

build your own box. Do you know how to work with sketchup? i've got a design that was made for my buddy's CVX's, but would work pretty well for your sundowns too. It's not too fancy, just plain and simple.

click the second link down in my signature, and it should be the third build in that thread.

some cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches!

Go with the SA-12's dual 4ohm wire them down to 1ohm and slap that SAZ1500 Also you should know that those SA's are very underrated and will in fact literally laugh at you when you run them with that SAZ-1000d.. hahaha i would get something maybe 2k but thats just me.. Now before you start throwing all this in your vehicle make sure your electrical system can handle the demand for power your equipment will put on it.

ie get bigger or extra batt and do the big three if you dont already have it done. Some of the comments made here are pretty straight cut but its all for you to absorb what you need people will try and guide you in the right direction... So just listen and do some research before you spend money on anything.

And like most people said just give the box a try on your own... with that price for a box you can aquire tools needed for the box build and if you do mess it up hey another $35-$43 for a sheet of MDF(WA price) isn't bad..

And good luck with whatever you decide man

I think there are companies that sell boxes for a reason. I have some friends that have 0 tools, and they just dont care to have any. Those kind of people buy boxes, and its just like a cost of the project. I mean sure building your own box is great if you have the means to do so, but if you dont there isnt anything wrong with buying one from a reputable box builder.

It's just soo much cheaper to do it yourself though. With some basic knowledge you can build your own and not spend NEARLY as much. Even if ported boxes are foreign to you, there are many people on this forum that can design one for you.

You could try a BRZ1700.1 HiFonics amp they are decent amps for the money. But if you have the cash to buy a. We saz1000d you might want to try and find someone selling a used saz1500 on here or elsewhere just saying. I used the BRZ1700.1 and wasn't too bad..

Have you also considered that if you live in California, you will probably need to pay an arm and a leg in shipping costs to get a box from Dave whose in new Hampshire. You can easily find many good box builders closer to you and possibly a better price. It's worth it to at least try making your own box first , if it doesn't work out try a local shop or ask on here if anyone can help you or recommend a box builder
