Carbon Fiber Box, NEW AMP RACK PICS ADDED, Page 13!!!

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the compliments guys. Just picked up a Fosgate T1500bdCP (for now) at my local car audio shop today so I can get this thing up and running tomorrow. The plan is still a T2500, but this amp will have to do until I can upgrade the battery and alternator. And I'm thinking of maybe going with two T1500 so I can have them both running at 2ohms instead of one T2500 at 1 ohm? Decisions, decisions.

Anyway, hopefully should have a video of the system playing up on YouTube tomorrow and maybe even an SPL score if the local car audio shop where I got my gear doesn't mind letting me play around a bit. I don't think they have a termlab, but something is better than nothing.

How are you running the speaker wires through the box? Just wondering

I've gotten a blowjob and picked up my iphone behind her back to see what email notification I got from smd before

Well, this came out really nice and flat, especially considering the base wasn't too straight (due to the multiple layers).

I really hope the box is to your taste, the looks are good in any case!

Big thumbs up! :good:

I guess what everybody wanted to tell you was: send me the carbon used for strengthening (HINT: it's even possible to send across the ocean), and I'll send you glassfibre. Well whatever, I do understand it wouldn't have been the same thought for you... a box reinforced with carbon fibre :lildevil:

Oh, and thanks for the pictures of the finished box!

And probably nothing new to you, but I've heard CF is a perfect conductor... watch out with the connections!

this looks like a ton of fun and came out pretty nice. I would have enjoyed helping you with this project as carbon fiber is hard as HELL to use without vacuums.

Actually it's easier to lay without the vacuum bagging process, you just end up using way more resin and it's more difficult to get a smooth, even finish.

How are you running the speaker wires through the box? Just wondering

Thanks to the conductivity of CF, I could not install uninsulated posts in the wall of the box. Since I didn't have any insulated posts, I decided to do it old school. I simply drilled a 1/2" hole and ran the speaker wire through it. Then I added a glob of resin around the hole to seal it off.
