bent mounting lip

Who is the seller. You did not receive the woofer as described it is on him to fix. He's the one too cheap to spend three bucks to insure it. As far as I'm concerned this is a bad deal and needs handled

I got the lip as straight as I could get it. I still have a small air leak but nothing a lil weather stripping can't fix.

I appreciate everyone's input.

you shouldnt need to weather strip anything. you should have a good woofer as described. id get it replaced or compensated somehow.

I would make the seller either refund me or give me money to fix it after an initial response like the one he gave you. The "good deal" he gave you was for undamaged product. So if he sucked at shipping and the messed up it IS 100% his responsibility.

all the shipping companies can be janky . and what alot of people don't know is that it can be tough to be reimbursed by insurance if the item damaged was packed in questionable way. the only way i know of where there is almost no chance insurance will give you a hard time is when: the item is in manufacture packaging and then packed inside a larger box with peanuts separating the inner and outer box .

Yep, double boxing FTMFW! I save all my retail boxes for audio stuff/PC parts or whatever commodity items I purchase and do just that when I ship them out to a new home. Have never had a complaint.

That's how I feel, too. But now, I can't get in contact with him. I tried a few different times to send him a pm and it won't let me. Why would it keep giving me an error message?

The only thing I could think of is he might have blocked you. So you should try talking to a MOD about it.
