Chris Hammer Posted August 22, 2012 Report Posted August 22, 2012 unstoppable., May 13, 2011 By chuck888 - See all my reviews This review is from: Boss P156DVC Phantom 15" Subwoofer Dual 4ohm Voice Coils (Electronics) ok i had to post a review for all the haters. these speakers can not be beat for the price. dont be dumb and hook them up at 1 ohm. drop 1200 watts into them on a 4 ohm hookup and watch your car fall apart. i have 2 of these hooked up to a pyle mono 4600, pushing 1200 watts per speaker at 4 ohms. the box is a little small for them, so my lows are suffering, but that will be fixed soon. ported box, being ran by a kenwood deck. a friend of mine has 2 2k mephis 15s, and i drown him out when put next to each other. for a system that cost barely over 300 bux, its amazing. amp was 180 or so, since everyone thinks pyle is crap, and the speakers from boss that everyone thinks is crap. i think the biggest problem people have with all these new, cheap super powered woofers is they seem to love dropping them to 1 ohm. i blew my first 2 boss like that, same as these just the 12 inchers. got the 15s in and hooked them up at 4 ohms, with gain and bass boost at max, i cant throw enough at them. slammin at full volume and they'er barely extending. saddest part of it is for my 300 bux im makin people with 2000 dollar systems wish they had rethought the purchase. 5 star review for boss. hook it up right and you'll get many many noise polution citations. My windshield wipers don't stay still anymore. The roof of my jeep flexes like crazy. My friends can't believe it's only one sub. Buy it, you won't be disappointed. This review is from: Boss P126DVC Phantom 12-Inch Subwoofer Dual 4-Ohm Voice Coils (Electronics) i bought 2 of these bad boys! i just got these a little less than a week ago. i have them hooked up to a 300w amp right now just temporary. getting a 1200 watt amp and an 8 gauge install kit. i read every single one of the reviews. i would STRONGLY recommend breaking these subs in slowly. i would say for the first 20-30 minutes just let them bump a little. then slowly increase. they blast the ***** out of my car with this small amp! i cant wait to get my amp this week. i love it. i have them in a sealed box. they say 2300 max and i think that you shouldnt put them to the max. unless your trying to kill yourself and passengers while your in it. just get them! great buy! look great as well. 5 star!
