McDs did nothing to help her. IIRC the coffee was about 180 degrees rather than 140 degrees that it is supposed to be. the initial award was doctors bills plus a couple million for punitive damages (based of coffee sales some how). That was later reduced to 400,000 or so. Then her and McDs settled out of court in a closed settlement or what ever you call it.
