Hunters21w
Thanks for the replies guys! Yea the paint roller I got says it's for walls I believe. For the port I might pick up a can of gloss black to keep it smooth. As for the port area, I wanted to keep it right at 12" of port per cube because this is more of a proven design. It helps keep port velocity high which is my goal. Trust me my first instinct was a port with 16-18" of port per cube, but after some research I am going to try this first. I can always make it bigger down the road. Hoping to knock out the rest of the bracing today, and maybe begin painting 06 Police TahoeHU- Pioneer 80prsAmp- Crossfire 8kSub- 4 15" Crossfire xs v2sWire- 1/0 Knu/AudiotechnixAlt- 3 Mechman SMD 340sBatts- 6 XS Power 3100s, 2400

252chevyboyz
Good job with the bracing man. Looks good and everything looks evenly spaced also. I like how they are recessed into the box. An Audio Technix box is always a good sign. Those Crossfire subs really look beastly though - 1997 Chevy Tahoe- Big 3 (1/0)- Dual Autocraft Batts- JVC KD-A315 HU- AQ 2200.1D- 18" AQ HDC3- Box w/ Removable Port (6ft^3 @ 36hz & 6.7ft^3 @ 42hz)- 39' 1/0 & 13' 2/0 Flex-A-Prene My Selling Feedback Build Log

I like how they are recessed into the box. An Audio Technix box is always a good sign. Those Crossfire subs really look beastly though Thanks bro, got them as even as I could. I thought the recessed would look good plus I had to do it on the bottom so that it would sit flush on the floor. Let's just hope they don't pull through, the back and bottom are the only panels that would since it's only 3/4 thick and I went in 1/2". My buddy did his like this and it held fine. banginHOE
Looking good so far. I'm building the same body style Tahoe right now. If that port is too small it will be super easy to make a larger one the way you have it set up.
