Never had soundstream stuff...but from the looks of it some of the members with a few of their smaller amps like em. My question is..is there anyone on here witht he Rubicon 2500...and does it do rated or close?

Whats everyones opinions on the rubicon series. With some looking around I found the RUB2500 for about 280 vs 350-400+ it is on alot of websites.

Do you guys think its a good deal. 280 flat - free shipping on a Rubicon 2500?

Yea. Right now the cheapest I found on ebay was more than the other site i found for 280.

I will keep my eye out for a cheaper one on there. They look pretty stout and they have board pictures on their website. I will have enough electrical to back it.

I was planning on BC2k but if someone on here can chime in from experience they do rated or close...than Imma go with soundstream and use the extra 100$ on some deadener.

Found a pic http://www.ebay.com/itm/Soundstream-RUB1-2500D-Rubicon-Class-D-Mono-Amp-New-/180957493232?pt=Car_Amplifiers&hash=item2a21e837f0m there

are 3 clear fuses in, sorrily i didn´t know how many amps they have, but for those RMS wattage it must be between 60 and 80 each. If you can find out how many

amps you have on the fuses, you can estimate if theay do rated.

That ebay seller put a pic of the 4 channel in the listing. It is not fused. You have to fuse your power wire before the amp. Or in my case dual fuses because I have dual inputs Ill be using on either amp

I currently am running a Rubi on my AQ 18. So far I have been happy. Only thig is when we had those 105 degree days here in East NC it got pretty warm but never warm enough to go into protect. Only have about .3v of voltage drop with my setup. I was really surprised at that since I only have a 124a Alt. I got some vids of it on my YouTube channel. Sounds good and I'll have scores from the Termlab soon as I can get everything to install my dual inputs. I would get a cross flow fan or something of sorts just to get some air moving across the amp if it's somewhere concealed with not much air flow. I think you will be happy with it man.

Here is where I got mine:

Cool this is what I wanted to hear. I am removing my back seats. Building a large box with lots of port for my 18. Sub/port forward, and then building a false top at the windowline where the amps will mount inside a enclosed area...than have the top of that carpeted and put small rails on it so it creats a rack or storage area for my moto gear etc.

Im going to run several PC fans in a push pull configuration so air is constantly flowing through the amp enclosure. Gonna wire them to a relay thats wired to my stereo remote output.

I already bought dual inputs for whatever amp I decide on LOL. I might still go with BC2k but the Rub2500 looks promising and the extra 100$ ill save can almost fund all my 1/0 wiring.

Their QC isn't as good as the picture implies. The caps on that board are of lower voltage than nicer amps in that power class like the AQ2200D and they use greater quantities of cheaper FETs creating good output at a good price but more, weaker points of failure. Buy quality, I have learned that lesson.

I'm gonna hate
