Sooo, had to make a new thread for this, but what's everyone's opinion on building up and turboing a V6 compared to building up a V8 (to possibly be turboed later on). What are the pros and cons? What are the cost benefits to either? How will my gas be affected (is still a daily driver for now)? And what's everyone's general input on the idea?

What the f**k is an appropriate signature supposed to look like?

haha, i know, so does my dad....V6 actually gets fairly good gas mileage for now, depending on how I drive.

well if youre not going to add weight to the car then the v6 can be great, if youre adding subs and batteries then the weight will hurt the gas mileage on it. bigger engines have more torque and sometimes you wont feel the weight.. i owened a 5.0 mustang having a passenger would slow it down. had a caprice with the 350 and it could deal with the passenger. i now have a 454 and it can take the weight of the subs box and batteries

gonna have to go with the v6 because it doesnt suck as much gas as a v8 but it can still do some work.

depending how u drive is right i was driving an accord as a rental and it was a v6 so i punched it all the time on the highway because it would take forever to get to 80 so my gas was bad but i just feel like if you going to fix up a car a V8 is the bad ass way to go lol

gas mileage will not matter on a fixed up car. who has ever seen a vtech honda fast as hell with just the driver but suck balls with passengers? i have and its funny when they think they can beat me and i leave them on the light

i plan on adding a batt in the bank, i figure thatll be enough to support 3500 watts (dont have to constantly sit at 14, or 13.6) and upgrade the batt in the front to the biggest one i can and im looking into a 270 amp alt. Next box will be made out of birch, should be a weight improvement over my mdf one. and im sticking with a single 12.
